Educational Resources

Little Baddow History Centre offers an ideal resource for schools and other organisations.

We have a programme of exhibitions and events throughout the year and have additionally designed a set of principal exhibitions which can be displayed as required to meet the needs of specific interest groups.  These are:

The Village History Exhibition - researched and archive material documenting the changes to the village from the Saxon period to-date.

Hooker and Eliot - commemorating the lives of Thomas Hooker - ‘The Father of American Democracy’ and John Eliot the ‘Apostle to the North American Indians’ and their associations with Little Baddow.

Little Baddow Chapel  - from the mid-17th century Little Baddow has had a strong non-conformist congregation in Little Baddow.  The Chapel was built in 1707 and is one of the earliest non-conformist Chapels in Essex. (Speaker available).

Faith History - an exhibition illustrating the history of Christianity in Britain with emphasis on Little Baddow.

Woods of Little Baddow - looking at the history and development of Little Baddow's well-known woodlands and nature reserves.

The Living Churchyard - a collection of specimens and photographs - (Speaker available).
